Taming Both Men And Women
As "Taming Of The Shrew" has many points it tends to focus on. The expectations a man and woman make when a relationship arises are different. Woman are more emotional than men. However, when you find the one that make you realize your faults and have a way of taming you things start to change. Emotions tend to rise. One of the most obvious in the Shakespeare novel Taming of the Shrew Katherine seems to be bitter when meeting Pertruchio. She is not form or fashion to wed him. She tends to hold much resentment. However that does not stop Pertruchio from trying to win over Katherine. In the 1992 comedy "Boomerang" Eddie Murphy plays a guy named Marcus who can get any woman he wants, and he know what to do to get them. This all turns around when he meets Jaqueline, who is bitter, stubborn, and just like him. She over time gives in to Marcus and Marcus gives into them. They both throughout the whole movie try to tame one another. Hold control over the other individual. As the same happened to Katherine by Petruchio.
Taming Of the Shrew Quote:
Petruchio: Come, come, you wasp, i’faith you are too angry. Katherine: If I be waspish, best beware my sting. Petruchio: My remedy is then to pluck it out. Katherine: Ay, if the fool could find where it lies. Petruchio: Who knows not where a wasp does wear his sting? In his tail. Katherine: In his tongue. Petruchio: Whose tongue? Katherine: Yours, if you talk of tales, and so farewell. Petruchio: What, with my tongue in your tail?
(II.i.207–214)
(This is when Petruchio and Katherine first meet, and he use sweet words to sweeten up her bitterness but she denies same as when Jacqueline meets Marcus and he follows her to the elevator.) Qoute from Boomerang:
"You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen" -Marcus
(Laughs.) "Thank you, but that sounds kind of pathetic dont you think?"

When you try to tame someone the value of control comes in the picture. You tend to work consistently to break that person. It takes more time, patience, and understanding to actually love someone. Marcus received the taste of his own treatment due to the fact he was always worrying about him and his satisfactions. Jacqueline bitterness only makes him want to strive more honorably to win her as a person. Same goes for Petruchio and Katherine situation.
